Ross receives 5 more endorsements for City Council run

“As other candidates talk about the importance of jobs, I am honored that those who work now in our City and have worked in our City are joining with my campaign to work for decent jobs and decent healthcare that is affordable and the larger economic importance of making sure everyone in our City has enough money to afford housing, food, medical care and the other necessities of life,” explained Grace Ross, an at-large candidate for Worcester City Council.

At large City Council Candidate, Grace Ross today announced 5 more endorsements for her campaign:

  • Worcester Firefighters Local 1009
  • Region 9A United Automobile
  • Aerospace & Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW)
  • Worcester Carpenters Local 107
  • Worcester Coalition of Municipal Retirees
  • GALLAN, Gay and Lesbian Labor Activist Network

“Grace Ross has taken positions that line up with the interest of workers in Worcester. In addition, I have noticed the most how well she listens and then takes action on her understanding. She knew about the same as everyone whose not a firefighter about our city’s needs for fire protection – she has listened well and is now advocating for the future safety of all of us.” Frank Raffa, President, Worcester Firefighters Local 1009

“We are seeing very strong positive response across the City. I am thrilled at the local business owners who are putting signs up in their windows. Events that some of them have been very welcoming about hosting. I hope that this growing attention to the election and support for my campaign, foreshadows an ongoing engagement and mutually supportive relationship not just through November but once I am hopefully in office as well. I keep harping on the need for the City Councilors to have a much more direct, give-and-take relationship with people across the City – this is a very hopeful sign!”

“Grace Ross’s record and advocacy on behalf of working people is to be commended. While Worcester faces many challenges the future holds many opportunities. Her pro-labor beliefs will ensure that working families will play a vital role in Worcester’s future and share in its success,” Jack Donahue, Business Agent, Worcester Carpenters Local 107.

“These endorsements represent the breadth of both the opportunities I have had to work with others on critical issues we all face and some of the cross-sections of our large and amazing community in Worcester. It bodes well for the upcoming election and the future of our city.” Grace Ross, expressed as part of her thanks and appreciation for so much support for the campaign
